Wizard Workshop is a creative endeavor for exploring new ways to build games with curiosity, creativity, and a bit of magic.
Wizard Workshop is part playground, part lab, part launchpad. It’s a space for experimenting with tools, ideas, and systems that empower creative expression and open up new possibilities for how games are made.
At the heart of it is a simple belief:
Games are modern magic.
They’re rituals of attention.
They create meaning through play.
They invite connection.
They help us understand the systems shaping our world and ourselves.
I’m Jonas Wills. I’ve spent over 20 years designing games for millions of players, building systems, launching products, and growing teams. But this chapter is something different. I’m starting from scratch, building in the open, and shaping a workshop that reflects what I care about most.
This blog is where I share that process. It’s part spellbook, part journal, and part grounding ritual. It helps me stay accountable and connected as I figure out what Wizard Workshop is becoming.
